In the first week of research project 2012 our teacher Ms. Woud introduced us to what we would be doing this semester. She told us to find at least 5 topics that interest us that we can research. The only topic that I was interested in was video games. After deciding on 5 we would then narrow it down to the one we liked most. As I could only find one topic I was interested in I began to narrow down my topic and by the end of the week refined it to ‘Video game addiction’. I then, after talking to my friends, refined my topic to ‘The affects that video game addiction can have on teens’. The next step will be to write a 500 word proposal on why we chose this topic.
Journal – Week 2
In the second week of research project we were asked to begin our proposal on why we chose our topic. At first I was unsure as to what I was supposed to be doing with the proposal but now after talking to a few friends in my class I believe I have wrapped my head around it. I will attempt to start it over the weekend but I have my sister’s engagement party this weekend and I don’t think I will have time for any homework.
Journal – Week 3
Journal entry week 3, just as I thought no time at all to do homework due to my sisters engagement party but I should be able to catch up this week. I have started my proposal and will have to finish it over the weekend because I am falling behind with my English work. Three weeks in and I can now see just how important these journals are, especially with this proposal. It’s as simple as what did I do in week one again? I know I’ll just check my journal. Overall I didn’t really do much this week just focused on the proposal and that should be done by Monday week 4 and ready to be marked by Ms. Woud.
